Paul is a deeply experienced finance and corporate governance professional.

He has been CFO and Company Secretary of multiple corporations and more recently COO and CEO of ASX and NASDAQ listed companies. He has managed the ASX IPO of a venture capital company, which had a portfolio of 26 early-stage technology companies.

Paul was the CFO of Tasmanian Perpetual (ASX Code TPX) between 2003 and 2013 and led the complex MyState Limited creation project (ASX Code MYS) which included a de-listing of TPX, demutualisation of a credit union and then re-listing of the new $5.3 billion Group. This was followed by the acquisition of a Queensland-based building society.

He has executive level experience in the mining equipment manufacturing, biotechnology, newspaper/printing, cement and coal, retail and corporate banking, and paper and packaging industries. He has led other significant M & A transactions including an on-market ASX takeover, takeover bid for an unlisted media company, sale of a media company, sale of a national road transportation fleet, sale of a property portfolio and business equipment company, and the acquisition and roll-up of wealth management and professional services entities.

Paul has held a number of Board governance roles including with the Tasmanian Health Department and a General Practitioner Registered Training Authority. He has held directorships of many early-stage companies (enterprise value ranges from seed to $100 million) and is a past Chairman of the Tasmanian Division of the Governance Institute and a past member of its National Council and National Legislation Review Committee. Paul is a past-President of the Tasmanian Divisional Council of CPA Australia.
